Cruised down towards Great Haywood and on through the Shugborough Estate, which is always a pleasant experience whatever the weather ..................................

............................... these are just some canalside cottages which took our fancy
............................ and this young chap was standing by a lock making a racket. A lonely bull with very impressive horns. I believe he is a traditional Longhorn which are bred on the Shugborough Estate. He was being very vocal.
Have put this on before on the way up .......... one of our favourite scenes at Culwich
................................. moored at Wolseley Bridge which is where the Trent runs meanderingly parrallel to the canal. To the left of this pic is a pub/restaurant and an antique place which we visited and bought .....................
............................ an old cast-iron bedstead. Or should I say we put a deposit on it and shall go back up in the car and look at the rest of it before picking it up and using it as a spare bed in the house in Old Stratford.
Did u purchase said bed from Wolsley Bridge? If you come back up this way you will have to stay the night, we got a spare double bed, and don't worry Bert has his own room too x x x
