Day 22 .... 04.06.13 .... Runnymede

Another sunny day.  Set off from Hampton Court and it is a pleasure to have the locks operated for you as you travel up.

I must admit I could quite fancy the job myself ..... when it is fine.  Many interesting house boats or 'house houses' on the way up here

Amazing how inventive people can be

this is positively American colonial and looks great.  Cannot imagine taking it any where though ...

Not sure whether this is clear enough to see the poor bloke varnishing the rails.  I would imagine that these need a great deal of upkeep!

There are times when steering the boat is most arduous .... got under the Staines Bridge though.

and managed to moor at a pleasant spot at Runnymede.  Shall be spouting on next about the Magna Carta.  ( Good 60's Band)
