Day 60 .... 12.07.13 .... Thames, Beale Park

Today has been a real day of contrast ...... going from the rural outskirts into Reading and on to the Thames.

We gently creep into the back of Reading via back gardens of terraces and then come upon........

A traffic light system for boats in order to pass through a massive central business section full
of the usual culprits. It is called The Oracle ..................

After going through this we end up with the lovely spaces of the Thames

we are also back to sumptuous houses and cruisers .............

We moored at Beale Park just beyond Pangbourne. Decided to cycle back along a footpath marked on the map to Pangbourne and got some nasty stings etc.   Not as looked after as it might have been !!!!

As I said at the beginning, a great day of contrasts. Looking forward to the next bit of the river.
