........................ went by Cannock Chase in variable weather. One minute sunny, next rain but not too much. For the first time we had queues for the locks. apparently this part of the canal is usually very busy. However all were very sociable and patient !!
Got to the Junction with the Staffs and Worcester Canal which we shall be coming back on in a week or two. We are planning to go up to the Anderton Canal and down the Shropshire.
We were really pleased to be able to meet up with Bert, Mick and Fee who are now living in this area and loving it !! Shall meet them on the way down down again when we come back on the Staffs and Worcester. They were in very good form and it was great too see them.
