| We spent the day leaving M. Harborough and going back to the main Grand UnionCanal going up towards Leicester. We stopped once again at the bottomof the Foxton Locks and visited a pub there called Bridge 61 which we had been told was quirky !! It was a slightly eccentric little place combining pub, gift shop, cafe and general odds and ends. |
The view from the inside was of the pub opposite. The strange aspect was that you had to order alcoholic drinks at the right-hand side bar and non alcoholic drinks from the left.
I paid for both my beer and Maggie's capucinno at the right hand bar and then the barman went round to the left hand side and asked Maggie what she would like. Positively Faulty Towers !!! with a certain logic Somewhere!!
All in all a very pleasant endroit.........
