Day 79 .... 30.07.13 ....Hatton Flight

Firstly, we have not been able to get online over the last few days and so this is a compendium of them, depending on how well  get on with it.  We had arranged to go up the Hatton Flight of 21 locks with Carol and Graham on a boat called Pondlife.  This proved to be an excellent idea and it made the flight both easier and more enjoyable.
Graham and I found that it was easier to go into the locks in tandem
The flight itself is impressive although since we last came up here 20 odd years ago the trees have grown and there was not such a good view as we seemed to remember.

Later we passed this superb Elizabethan farm house which is still in use as a farmhouse.
........... and eventually moored at a great little hamlet called Turners Green
